European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps is an EU programme for young people aged 18–30 who want to help others, gain new experience and make a real difference, whether in their own community or anywhere in Europe.

There are two ways to volunteer:

  • Individual volunteering: full-time volunteering with a host organisation for 2 to 12 months, usually abroad and in some cases in your home country. Shorter placements, from 2 weeks, are possible for young people with fewer opportunities.
  • Team volunteering: groups of 10 to 40 young people from at least two countries volunteer together full time for 2 weeks to 2 months.

International volunteering of 3 months or more can also earn you an additional 0.25 points when applying to Lithuanian higher education institutions. Recognition is reviewed every year (see Recognition of volunteering).
